MEA Accredited Meeting Manager’s Review
At MEA we are committed to standing behind our Accreditation Program and have now completed the 2nd stage of our accreditation review.
In stage two, the consultation committee of industry stakeholders were joined by our newly named ‘Accreditation Admissions Panel’ to review the suggested changes and then ratify the outcomes. Some of the changes include:
- The new ‘Guidelines for Applicants’
- The new ‘Application Form’
- New entry conditions – including
- Nomination by another accredited member
- Peer recommendations
- The addition of more specific information on eligible professional development activities
- A guide as to what types of evidence is required for professional development, especially in-house training development and delivery.
- New assessment case studies
Other topics discussed and still ongoing included:
- Marketing of accredited members at conferences, meetings etc
- Establishment of grievance policies
- Establishment of an ethics committee
- Gaining government recognition for the program
- Continuous improvement
