The MEA Executive Certificate in Meetings & Events Management in Sydney, 15 – 18 December 2008 is designed for those who have between one and three years meetings industry experience and who need an intensive training opportunity to move them further along that elusive path. This is a major professional development opportunity for Meetings Managers and Sales & Marketing personnel working within the industry - and it happens in Sydney only once per year! The Program has only limited spaces available due to the intensive and interactive workshop format, so now is the time to act!
Seventeen industry high achievers have been secured as presenters. They are ready and willing to answer questions during their presentations to ensure that each student receives useful information relating to their own circumstance - a major benefit of the ‘small group’ philosophy that is held by this program.
The Program is structured for the two main career paths within the industry - Sales and Marketing and Meetings Management. Sales and Marketing personnel will be given the option to attend all 3.5 days or only one day of the Program - The One Day Sales & Marketing Program (Day Three). This single day will cover planning, selling, marketing and promotion within the industry.

The MEA One Day Sales & Marketing Program is a foundation level professional development opportunity for Sales & Marketing personnel working within the Industry who have less than three years industry experience. This program, scheduled for Wednesday 17 December in Sydney, is an intense learning experience and covers four vital basic areas for these personnel. The students will benefit from the experience of the presenters, all of whom are highly respected industry professionals with many years proven success in their respective fields. Their presentations aim to challenge and stimulate.
During the program the student will:
- Learn how to plan and implement sales activities, sell meetings products and services and coordinate marketing activities
- Receive constructive feedback from experienced industry practitioners
