The Conference Program is almost finalised and we would love to share with you some of the exciting speakers we have confirmed so far.
For the first time at the MEA Conference Michael Luehrs, Sustainability Services Manager, MCI Group, Stockholm will address the global environmental issues in the presentation titled ‘A Postcard from 2020: How the Meetings Industry Helped Craft the Most Important Environmental Solutions of Our Time’. We are very excited to have Michael present at our Conference and think that a lot of delegates will find his presentation informative as well as very enjoyable.
Another confirmed keynote speaker is Captain John Dennis, who has been flying commercial aircraft since 1971 and is currently employed as a Senior Check Captain on the Boeing 747-400 aircraft and who also trained John Travolta on the Boeing 747-400. John has commanded 38 flights to Antarctica including the first flight to Mt Erebus since 1979 and the first flight ever in recorded history observing a total eclipse of the sun over Antarctica. John’s presentation is titled 'Command Decision Making'.
We are also very proud to have Peter Rix, Managing Director, George P Johnson (Australia) Ltd present a case study on the biggest event in 2007 in the presentation titled ‘The Event We Had to Have……APEC 2007’. Peter Rix began his career as a manager of recording artists in the 1970's. He has produced concerts, theatre shows, music festivals, product launches, exhibitions, and large scale special events since 1983, and remains after 35 years, the manager of Marcia Hines. George P Johnson (Australia) Ltd is Australia's largest event production house.
The Conference will also address the following topics:
