Information on the Australian Sponsorship Marketing Association (ASMA) Sponsorship Conference
From 7-9 October, 2008, The Australasian Sponsorship Marketing Association (ASMA) Conference – Sponsorship, The Next Dimension will be a convergence of the industry’s most savvy marketers who will address critical sponsorship marketing trends and best practices through cutting-edge keynotes, panels and roundtables.
The only event of its kind in the region, this ‘for-the-industry, by-the-industry’ three-day conference will offer unparalleled networking opportunities and will address the future of the A$2bn Australian sponsorship market through innovation and experience; offering unrivalled access to the latest ideas and practices in the rapidly growing areas of sponsorship marketing for the government, sports, arts, leisure and entertainment sectors.
“In an increasingly fragmented media market, Sponsorship Marketing is an industry that is evolving at breakneck speed,” says Phil Whittaker, President of ASMA. “Focusing on the next dimensions of sponsorship, this year’s conference promises to be our best yet with the largest ever concentration of experts from the corporate, government, rights holder and agency sectors. We have also developed a new programme of Advanced Sessions to ensure that practitioners are kept ahead of the game.”
Being held at Conrad Jupiter’s, Gold Coast, Queensland, one of the key highlights of the conference will be the launch of the 3rd ASMA Repucom Outlook Report. The only study for the Australasian sponsorship industry that offers an holistic review of the latest in benchmarking statistics from employment to spend and evolving opportunities to some of the industry’s most contentious issues.
Hosted by Liz Deep-Jones, respected journalist and producer, the conference will offer stimulating debates on the future of the Sponsorship Marketing Industry and will highlight the areas of CSR and Government sponsorship. The sessions will be facilitated by leading international speakers and a cross section of Australasia’s best sponsorship practitioners representing top corporate sponsors, government, advertising, sponsorship and measurement agencies and rights-holders.
The event will give delegates the opportunity hear directly from leading corporate sponsorship practitioners such as Commonwealth Bank, Telstra, American Express, Sanitarium, Optus, HSBC, BHP Billiton and PepsiCo International.
Panelists from the Australian Sports Commission, the Australian Business Arts Foundations, the NRL, Sovereign Insurance (New Zealand), Repucom and Macquarie Leisure will share experiences and industry updates with International Quarterback, Chris White, giving a personal insight into the power of an individual as a marketing tool.
