How long have you been an Accredited Meetings Manager? Since 1999.
How long have you worked in the Industry? In Melbourne since 1994, prior to this in hospitality in WA for 11 years.
What was your first job? I worked at the Candy Bar at the Perth Entertainment Centre - my very first exposure to the wonderful world of customer service (and to the art of producing the perfect choc-top icecream!).
Describe your current role: I'm a hands on small business owner and operator. I'm fortunate enough to work both on the business, and in the business. I'm an event manager, the admin lady, I take my turn at answering the phone, and I love it!
What do you enjoy most about your job? The clients of course! And the French champagne we drink to celebrate another successful event!
What do you enjoy least about your job? The pain in the middle of my right shoulder that happens when I'm too long in front of the computer!
What has been your proudest moment? Re-establishing SHE in July 2007, after being a part of another company for 2 years. And I'm even prouder of the quality of the events SHE's produced over the last 9 months, and of the reputation SHE has in our wonderful industry.
What has been your most embarrassing moment? A lady does not kiss and tell! How dare you!.
What are you looking forward to in the future? I'm looking forward to growing my business, building my talented team, and continuing to deliver stylish, glamorous events that SHE's proud of.
