The ACT branch is excited to present this specially designed event for our executive level members next Friday afternoon at the Brassey Hotel.

Tuesday 23 October – PD: The A to Z of Green Events and MEA ACT Branch Report
During this session ACT MEA presents an opportunity for members to discover the impact of events on our planet. By attending you’ll learn how to improve your business by reducing waste (both financial & material) and in turn minimize your carbon footprint on the environment.
Following on from a think tank involving a number of industry thought leaders, Jeremy Garling from Great Southern E-vents will present this PD guide on going green in events. Jeremy will provide advice on how to form your own green policy and is a topical session not to be missed by any member interested in going green.
Following this Professional Development seminar, your new MEA ACT committee will host the annual branch report and afternoon tea, where you’ll be able to meet your new committee members and enjoy delicious refreshments. We have then arranged an exclusive all-access tour of the new National Convention Centre refurbishment!
For this event only non-members can attend at member prices so it is a perfect opportunity to bring an industry colleague with you and introduce them to the MEA network.

Wednesday 7 November – Adelaide Civic Reception
The Adelaide Lord Mayor, Hon. Michael Harbison will host a Civic Reception in the Adelaide Town Hall to recognise and acknowledge South Australian National and State MEA award winners.
One hundred and fifty guests have been invited to this prestigious function including MEA South Australian Sponsors and those who contributed to the very successful 2009 conference bid.
The Chair of the Board, Board of Directors and National Councillors have also been invited to attend.
Guests will be joined by MEA CEO, Linda Gaunt, and Chair of the MEA SA Branch Committee, Grant Piggott.
