Not only will they get to hear one of the freshest presenters on the circuit - Elena Reed, Image & Deportment Specialist - who was recently described by an event organiser as ‘a dynamite presenter who kicked our butts in style’, will she will also ensure they will have fun and learn simple techniques to give their ‘I’ve got nothing to wear’ days a good bye kiss.

The heart of Andrew’s ‘Switched On’ philosophy is understanding that we all have the power to control our energy levels and performance. Andrew's presentations teach audiences to recognise their four different performance zones – chill, thrill, spill and kill - then provides simple tools to consciously move between these zones. Guests will also be treated with massages by seated massage.

The next Qld ClubMEA Lunch will be hosted by the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre and will be held in the River Room, on Wednesday 16 July from 12noon-2pm. For those who are unfamiliar with this venue, the River Room is located within Southbank, with spectacular views across the Brisbane River to the City.
YMEA: Industry Panel Evening

Topical industry issues and themes will be discussed when YMEA Queensland presents an Industry Panel evening on Thursday 24 July from 6.00pm-8.00pm at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Three guest speakers will make presentions and will then form into a panel for further discussion on the following topics:
- Going Green in Hospitality
- How to successfully progress in the Events Industry
- Gold Coast Tourism – where are we now?
The presentations and panel discussion will be followed by the serving of refreshments.

YMEA: Tour of Adelaide Airport

Virgin Blue will host YMEA members during an exclusive behind the scenes tour of the airport from the check-in desk to the tarmac.
Following the tour Virgin Blue high flyers will provide an insight into their career paths and professional development followed by drinks and canapés in the Coopers Bar.
Club MEA: Adelaide Showground Hard Hat Tour

MEA Members have been invited to get behind the scenes during a hard hat tour of the new 9,000 sqm Goyder Pavilion, feature gallery and the 16,000 sqm landscaped entertainment area at the Adelaide Showground. They will also have the opportunity to view and discuss design environmental initiatives including energy saving design characteristics and underground water tanks and solar panels.

ClubMEA Annual Auction @ Sofitel Melbourne

The 2008 MEA Victoria Auction night is being held on 10 September at Sofitel Melbourne. One of the primary goals of the MEA Victoria Auction Night is to raise funds for the 2008 MEA Victoria Ruth Ellis Student Scholarship. Proceeds from this event enable a final year student to meet experienced professionals and learn about their chosen industry by attending the 2009 MEA National Conference being held in Adelaide.
You can assist by donating an item to be auctioned. Some items are auctioned under the hammer whilst others are by silent auction. Your generosity will be greatly appreciated and acknowledged on the night.
